| VOCATION -> The Typikòn: Our Holy Rule |
|
“How I love your Law, o Lord. Your word is a lamp for my feet, a light on my path” (Ps 118.97 105)
The current Typikòn has been approved by the Congregation for the Oriental Churches (Holy See) on September 3, 2001. The Basilian Monks have especially wanted to give the Typikòn a spiritual and pastoral tone, which presents with greater clearness the oriental essence of the Christian monasticism of the Byzantine-Greek rite, in its authentic tradition. The meditation of these pages can serve to know more the spirituality of the Basilian Monks and for a possible and concrete vocational choice. Prologue of the Long Rules of Saint Basil The Great.
